SYMBIOTIC SILICON AND CARBON

Carbon and Silicon in symbiosis under the entropic principle of information.
Human beings are the agents of change.

As is well known, carbon is a fundamental element in all known life on Earth, from microbes to elephants and whales and of course we human beings. Carbon is a tetravalent element, in that it has four electrons near its surface which can play roles as an ion in both acidic and alkaline chemicals as well as organic molecules that can be extended infinitely.

Silicon, like carbon, is a tetravalent element, although its ionization potentials are so high it does not easily form polymer chains. As a result, there are few species in the earth in which silicon plays any known significant role at all. The few species that use silicon in nature use it as a structural object, rather like a brick or paving stone, and some other species actually use small stones either to armor their shells, or as grinding stones in the gizzards and craws of some reptiles and birds.

But something new happened when human beings began to chip and flake flint into tools such as knives, spear points, and other sharp tools, and sandstone into grinding surfaces. Even more, when fire was tamed from wildfires to campfires and the firing of clay pots was discovered in some flash of inspiration, silicon was becoming a richly rewarding element to play and work with. Those discoveries are from some millions of years ago. Much more recently, the use of drawings, hieroglyphs, images, pictures and written languages created a distinctly different kind of relationship between the great cosmology in which the Earth existed, and the whole ensemble of carbon, plants and animals, human beings, fire, and silicon.

It is in this ensemble of all these things, that silicon is in a symbiotic relationship with carbon. The ensemble could be more properly described as a polybiotic relationship containing carbon and silicon, and that is a matter of terminology more properly in the domain of lexicographers.

About five thousand years ago a divergence took place, in which human development began to progress like a river flowing around an island in that river.

The most well known in the West is when the Scorpion King was founding the first Egyptian dynasty and constructing sandstone architectures that included not only houses but pyramids. The details are important though not here and they are richly intriguing history. One detail though seems formative. Emerging civilization in Egypt required wielding the executive power to accomplish architectural goals. In other words, those dynasties became willing to kill to get the job done. That is probably why the Scorpion King was shown with a scorpion floating above his head, and he was shown holding a club. The bug took the blame, for it is a lethal and ancient instinct quite familiar with the sand and its silicon.

Less well known was the emergence among Chinese Taoists, who were traditional philosophers primarily patriarchal in motive. They wanted to try a new approach, but one which did not question the way of nature, which they saw as the path or progression of Heaven. To them, all activities by human beings should be in the Order of Heaven.

The problem was that using sheer chance in deciding whether to take a left or right path where one might have a tiger, as might happen by tossing a coin, did not have a particularly good record in avoiding tigers.

However, the Chinese had developed writing and it was proving to be valuable. The approach taken by Taoists was to introduce an element between the use of chance and the natural world. By casting lots, the traveler would choose a passage in what was literally a primitive survival manual. Doing so made him refer to the far more subtle and energetically sensitive media of written words, and that made it far more likely the serious person would perceive more clearly what it was that made the possible choices different.

This technique is in use in survival training. If one is lost in the wilderness, it is best to read the manual, and if no specific problem is immediate, choose a passage or a few at random. There are likely to be periods of time when, trapped in the wilderness, a few moments might not present any particular threat or necessity, but can be used to familiarize with the general approach to survival. Reading English has that same sensitivity to energy that was so important to the early Taoists.

That's why one of the things that make it possible to deal well with money is an understanding of the writings in economics.

Since mankind began to work silicon, it has become one of the most intriguing, fascinating, and productive of developments in history. Human beings follow order, and the order of Heaven now comprehends a possibility of wielding silicon as efficiently as carbon or any other element, in the grandest and most comprehensive and noble of goals as well as in activities of local and temporal importance. Enthusiasm is high, and cement is cheap. Now our nation has vast plains and fields covered with cement, concrete, and rocks.

The problem can be more correctly understood if it is taken into account that entropy can be put on the right hand side of the equation as a prime mover, because in the case of the emergence of silicon, entropy is just that. Processes that affect and move silicon are the entropic, ordering, and chaos-reducing process of putting information into play in writings of dreams, plans, designs, knowledge, business, finance and other particulars of the processes of moving silicon from amorphous low order high entropy, chaotic masses in the Earth, into structured, high order, low entropy forms in human constructions. The result is essentially similar to patterns in crystallization, which may be exothermic or endothermic in that it may heat energy or absorb it. Either can be a driving gradient.

This conclusion requires understanding that the entropy with which information is measured is a statistical quantity and it is fundamentally indistinct from the entropy in thermodynamic phenomena. As a result, it is most useful to understand thermodynamics as a field of statistical activity rather than through any other approach. Understanding of the purely mathematical interpretation of thermodynamics is becoming more complete and should lead to the same conclusions.

A few examples of the way human constructions transform relatively chaotic nature into ordered forms will be useful here.

Immense quantities of earth and its living plants and animals, including sentient beings, are transformed into fundamental dimensions of the action.

These dimensions are mass, length, area, frequency, velocity, momentum, energy and a few others.

Some of these processes reduce millions of tons of the Earth into slag in order to find a few kilograms of diamonds or gold.

Vast masses of chaotic rock, ore and earth are transformed each year into millions of tons of iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, and other pure elements or compounds such as cement and fertilizer. Mass is a fundamental dimension of the non-radiation forms of the action.

Each year million of miles of wire, rope, yarn, thread, flexible tubing, and other length goods are produced, by transforming the finite earth and its scarce living biosphere. Length is a fundamental subdimension of the action.

Each year millions of tons of material are consumed to produce sheets and areas of plasterboard, plywood, linoleum, carpet, roofing, window glass, sheet steel, screen, cardboard, paper, Formica and other laminates, and endless acres of highway and airport surface. Area is a fundamental subdimension of the action.

Millions of British Thermal Units, Horsepower-hours, and kilowatt-hours of energy are produced each year from either dynamic, potentially renewable resources such as wind, water and tides, or burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Energy is an external dimension of the action, and occurs also in radiation from stars and hot lava.

Huge quantities of traffic flow along roads, through the air, across the ocean, and along rails, which are practically designed to be examples of momentum - masses moving at velocities. These range from tiny bullets to cars, trucks, airplanes, ships, and railroad trains, Momentum is a fundamental subdimension of the action.

Vast quantities of frequency are pumped out each year by transmitters of radio and television signals as well as lamps and other specialized emitters of radiation throughout the spectrum. Frequency is a fundamental subdimension of the action.

Putting the emergence of silicon's symbiotic relationship to carbon together with the reduction of the planet to fundamental forms of the action, one sees a vital and essential need to have this scenario understood as a consequence of trying to interpret the entire cosmology as a subdomain of the constructions that have occurred since ancient Egypt. For five thousand years the western human cultures have been engaged in a colossal, coarse, and titanic misconstruction. The dynasties formed a pattern of boom and bust, each boom cycle containing a hell-bent- for-leather stampede toward dreamed-of and imaginary goals, with no other trammel than the exhaustion of the people, their resources, and the Earth.

At the present time, the slaughter of wildlife, the sentient beings of the oceans and land, is the currently being exhausted resource that seems likely to be the only possible cause of this dynasty's misconstruction.

Reaching the Moon was one of the goals, and it was an important goal that may be thought of as justifying the slaughter of sentient beings throughout the world, but because the Moon was attained, and it is not necessary to kill many sentient beings to reach the moon, the slaughter of seals, tuna, cod, herring, salmon, elephants and many other organisms is unconscionable and cannot be justified. Sadly, this concern does not seem likely to be respected by those who slaughter the world's wildlife.

Instead, this period of time in Earth's history is likely to be viewed as dominated by a species, which to be sure attained spaceflight, but at the cost of reducing itself to an infestation, with which the planet can, in the long run, do without. Malthusian or not, it has too much truth to ignore, for the evidence is in the piles of dead fish and mammals in every grocery store and supermarket, and these marketing forms are increasing with the population.

Look at tanks. One of the attainments of World War II was to litter the sands of Egypt and the Sudan with rusting iron tanks, like so many Martian bodies, when all that was really wanted was a safe spaceflight to Mars and return with some of that rusty red soil. Why on Earth is anybody driving around in a tank nowadays? Is it to force the planet Mars upon the populace, or through some amateurish conjuring, perhaps magically cause Mars to appear on Earth? Or they are driving around on the Earth like Diemos and Phobos, demons and fear, the two moons of Mars as that devolved planet became embedded in the Earth's gravitational configuration in human concepts.

Evolution and God

In early time in the Earth billions of years ago chemical molecules through millions of years at a time flocculated into larger chemicals, some of which if broken apart, would grow into larger molecules of the same chemicals. These persisted, because the mere fragments were the seeds that grew into their progeny.

Immense stretches of time passed, millions of years at a time. Certain molecules grew tougher, and more persistent. They became virus-like, and did not break randomly, but at distinct places in distinct sizes, because by doing that, they lasted longer and were more likely to reproduce in the same way. They did not magically intend that; their eventual progeny were the result of those which, randomly, were the more stable survivors among myriad other kinds were not so stable, and which disappeared rapidly.

Stability is survival. God was substantial in the emergence of order from randomness and chance. God emerged from among the very molecules which were the ultimate precursors of life. God was with life all the way since molecules. To a molecule, God was manifested in at least the protective environment sustained by other molecules like oneself. Survival was improved with others like oneself; survival is good. Since ancient times when all life was still only molecules, God is good. The primitive origins of dreams emerged as the field of resonance around the particular spectra of molecules, perceptible, that is influential, in the quietest of times, when the most sensitive flexibility of a molecule could respond to the collection of resonance which surrounded itself.

Entropy, the randomness into which energy could be lost, was an important principle. Molecules which could conserve the energy of their forms, and not lose it to randomness, were among those more likely to reproduce to form.

Gradually, viruses as centers of activity accreted outer membranes a quarter or half wavelength of light away from themselves because at those distances certain resonance favored the accumulation of materials like themselves, and these were the precursors of the membranes which define cells. And so God became formally visible.

Collective dreams emerged. An organism among other organisms like itself, in quiet circumstances, would resonate with the field created by all its neighbors.

For billions of years, single celled organisms were all there were. They are called monera, now that the word exists, the word with which this is written.

Then the monera learned not to break apart completely, but to remain together. For a time, there were two-celled organisms. Then there were three-celled organisms, then four-celled organisms and suddenly many-celled organisms began to emerged, and still God was with organisms. Always, an organism itself faintly represented God in self- resonance, and harmony would be assuring.

Monera began to reproduce as multicelled organisms, called metazoa, from three to perhaps eight galactic cycles ago.

Most importantly, when organisms of a kind were numerous, their collective resonance would be most assuring to an individual organism that had lost the Way.

Species emerged, because some organisms had one resonance spectrum, and other species had a different resonance spectrum. Yet they were never infinitely different; there were superficial differences, and somewhat deeper differences, then more substantial differences, and fundamental differences, and finally such fundamental differences that the two organisms were of greatly different sizes and shapes.

Superficial differences could be tolerated.

Somewhat deeper differences could lead to distinct aversion.

More substantial differences could lead to competition for resources and mating.

Fundamental differences could lead to predator-and-prey relationships.

Extremely substantial, fundamental differences could lead to parasite-host, or organism-disease relationships.

Some organisms, which were plants, were not motile, but simply grew where they happened, or floated and only drawn by the ancient waters. They dream, though faintly, because they cannot move in response to their dreams.

Some of these survived at the water's edge, and gradually became able to survive being dry briefly. They were able to endure being dry briefly, because they were the ones who persisted in reproducing after they had been dry for a time. It is difficult to say, whether success was or was not entirely planned. Perhaps it just happened, that some succeeded, and so it looks like it was planned, but they just accidentally succeeded in surviving, and the very survival itself was the selection rule by which those that would survive would be more likely to survive again.

Animals in the seas dreamed, in that their resonance with themselves and with each other enhanced their survival.

Many things came to pass. Organisms developed eyes, and nerves, feelers, fins, claws and shells in the oceans. Organisms crawled out of the shallows onto the land, first by being stranded there by the tides. Their survival was possible, and those that became most adept at surviving the varied circumstances caused by tides learned to emerge from the waters of the seas for a moment, then for a time, then for days and finally forever, to spend all their lives on the land.

Eventually both plants and animals literally infested the land as well as the seas. Myriad kinds of life, from molecules - which were still abundant and varied and notoriously persistent, to single celled creatures, to plants and walking creatures, gradually became established all over the Earth.

These events spanned many tours around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, at 250 million years each cycle. Actually the duration of time was somewhat longer in the beginning, but just how much is not yet measured. Perhaps when life began, it was 350 million years, and the cycle became shorter as time passed, so that now it is 220 million years according to the best available measurements now.

Animals dream, sometimes deliberately and intensely, seeking resonance from others, or carefully rearranging the resonance which remain from the day. One seeking the resonant fields of others may seek only those of one's own kind of animal.

In prehistoric times, after the dinosaurs had fallen and the mammals which had emerged under them began to dominate the earth, there emerged early monkeys.

The early monkeys were not human beings, not people, not men. They did not use particularly articulated words; like modern monkeys, they screamed and hooted, cried and called, but these were not words. There was no written language, only a few different kinds of scent markings, and he evidence of their feeding from broken plants, and their passing by spoor.

All animals dreamed. The myriad animals dreamed dreams of monkeys. Some dreamed that monkeys should be smart, so that went into the stew. Some dreamed that monkeys should have pincers, yet others dreamed of claws, and still others of prehensile appendages. The distinct emerged in dreams, and so monkeys have fingers, and claws. Some animals contributed hearing and others vision. Animals which had tails dreamed monkeys should have tails, and so monkeys have tails. Connecting intelligence to fingers was difficult, and for along time it was not known which way signals moved from brains to limbs, so for a long time the tail was prehensile. It was somehow related to the spoor but just how was for a very long time not clear.

And then Man was dreamed, for monkeys began to understand how to signal at a thought which finger should move where, and their fingers became connected with more than their mere stomachs and digestion. The monkeys dreamed dreams of Man, and so, rooting that dreams in the dreams of all life, Man became inevitable.

Thought was connected to the hand. And so God, which was the sum of all dreaming, planning, hoping and believing, made Man, the money with his mind connected to his hands.

Now just imagine what chance your dreams have, after you have killed all the other animals that would have helped you substantiate your fleeting dreams of flying to the stars.

In the early days before Men, wild animals were the chorus of dreamers, who provided the vague but powerful basis for dreams and thoughts of progeny to be. Just so, Native Peoples in every continent know stories about Fox, and Buffalo, and Crow, and Eagle, Elephant and Giraffe because these stories came to them in dreams shared by all life with Men.

Go back to the small farms with the domesticated animals such as sheep and goats have contributed dreams to families since animals were first kept. Nowadays, the cat and dog often appear in dreams, and some say they share the dreams of their masters. But you won't go to the stars with only the dreams of a few chosen pets, if all the wild animal beings of the Earth, and many of the Plants of the Earth that support the animals, is destroyed.

Hard Times and Deeply Distressing Fundamental Issues

I believe the economic downturn is a sign of a massive global devolution of technological industries in the manufacturing and construction sectors. This devolution is because the whole development reached a critical stage in its size and connectivity, and can no longer avoid eternal factors such as the exterior celestial firmament of distant galaxies, the rotation of the Milky Way galaxy, the annual orbit of the Earth around the Sun, and of course the Earth's rotation.

During most of the opening two or three centuries of technological development, most of the time daily and annual concepts of right were absolutely sufficient to undertake huge constructions such as cities, bridges, tunnels, and highways. Newer technologies such as communications, including television, internet and portable telephone systems, were able to make do with greater use of the annual concepts of right. But in almost no case was it necessary, except occasionally on a local scale, for an industry to check itself against galactic right, and then it was only for a technical detail such as in the sciences where quantum spin is a factor.

By now, the concentration of problems has also become urgent and simply stark. Overpopulation, emphasis on employment that does not deal with such mundane things as food, shelter and clothing, the relentless machine-driven slaughter of wildlife that does the same thing to wild things now as machine guns and mustard gas did in the First World War, and other factors conspire to create a resounding rejection of certain excesses in the human construction.

These agonizingly intense raw factors are masked by spending time carefully examining secondary problems like tax rates and economic soundness of mortgage and manufacturing industries. The simple fact is that life is turning away from several factors that consume much that is of value, despoil much other that is of value, and produce a remarkable large quantity of inessential things such as extremely sophisticated consumer goods, lavish entertainment budgets, and exceedingly expensive skyscrapers, while not placing a completely dedicated concern onto the security of production of necessary, essential things like food and housing and making certain these essentials are available in the necessary and sufficient quantities whatever else comes to pass.

The upshot is that this economic recession could continue as collapse for another decade, while people muddle around trying to create works that fit the concept which is to eventually become stable throughout the earth as the planet's destiny. If it is in the future that, for instance, lavish consumer goods are simply neglected much, much more than is now anticipated, then that kind of industry is simply destined to fail utterly. Of course that may not be; it is known that lavish consumer goods existed during the Roman Empire. On the other hand there were long periods of relatively mundane, essential existence and its concomitant dedicated to fundamental necessities, throughout extensive regions in the world, and lavish consumer goods were simply not in vogue, not even as popular as they had been among those who could afford them. Tastes change.

In tastes at the present time certain flavors are almost unmentionable, though decency compels they be declared increasingly often. Two of these are bitterness and hunger. The bitterness comes from unnecessary death, both human and animal, and the hunger is among its causes. So also are the slaughter of both domesticated animals and wildlife. Overpopulation is a bitter mistake, and so are the worst standards of living. There may be no way for ANY of the world's people to avoid any of these stark simple realities, with the terrible implications of the truth they comprise.

It seems likely that the vast glut of motor vehicles is to be eventually also understood as a serious, great, evolutionary mistake, a misconstruction of almost immense magnitude. If it may be thought that the present economic downturn presents some hard questions, just consider what kind of questions may emerge from a serious reduction in automobile traffic. How will people combine the necessity of working close to home, with the existing separation of work locations from house, shelter and home? We don't know.

Telecommuting was greeted with great enthusiasm, and rightly so. Telecommuting provides part of the real answer, the real solution, to exactly that problem. The only difficulty is that it is being ignored, and it is only part of the solution. The other part of the solution is to find ways with which human beings can secure food, clothing and other income, while remaining generally close to their homes, and without creating a huge transportation glut on the roads each day just because engines make it callously possible.

So the problem is, that telecommuting provides too little, too late, of only a small part of exactly the kind of solutions necessary. That small part is exceptionally new stuff, new capabilities, but it is almost inevitable that considerable amounts of other new stuff and new capabilities will be necessary before the world reaches a state of sufferable stability in which periodic catastrophic economic collapse does not recur too often for dignity. Telecommuting is absolutely wonderful new stuff wherever it is sufficient, but it's only sufficient in a relatively small part of the economy, and in almost no case is it close the fundamental production of food, clothing and housing.

Another idea that was too little, too late, of exactly something right, is the pea-patch garden patches created under some city jurisdictions. These are an important attempt to create an agricultural base that is distributed throughout populous regions. Much more development of this approach is vital.

Bicycling is considered a valuable and viable form of transportation primarily among those who bicycle. Very few who depend on cars for most or all of their transportation are willing to admit there may be good reason for 'suffering' bike riding.

This is like dieting. If one does not diet or fast occasionally, then one is constantly replenishing current activity supplies by eating food, and this prevents a person from drawing on deep stores of energy and fat. The result is that the person who does not savor any hunger is usually sick with decomposing old fat.

The present construction is somewhat like that. Modern constructions last a long time, and they become corrupt within before they are past their useful lifetimes if they were completely flushed of old occupancy and renewed or replaced. Old buildings are things that cannot be adapted to when they become stale or insufferable. They depend on renewing superficial aspects, such as shops and stores, while retaining sometimes increasingly obsolete frame, foundation, utility connections and energy technology.

Some of the approaches to the economic downturn include renovating or replacing old constructions. Yet if it is not taken into account how important this is, the result will be that not enough old structures are replaced.

There is one other terrible danger which can emerge from an economic collapse: violence as frustrated, often hungry or homeless persons who identify or misidentify some particular group as the cause of their plights, and gain enough power to cause a nation real grief.

The consequence of not dealing with the hard and difficult questions correctly is that often very wrong solutions emerge from the earth as random or sporadic violence.

So what does "correctly" mean? At the very least, a modern sophisticated look at what worked and what did not work in the 1930's depression must be undertaken. The solutions that worked must be made into extensively distributed information on the internet, and new equivalent solutions that work must be devised, proposed, and tried.

Television, the internet, portable telephones and other technology has a good role to play in communicating facts as they appear.

Another possible solution that is only beginning to surface, though many are repulsed by it, is that millions of houses were constructed which are very large for the single family dwellings for which they are zoned. On television are shown people facing eviction from their homes, because they cannot remain in them when their income falls, yet they cannot take in boarders, share their house with another family, or share the house of a family next door because of zoning. This is likely to come to a head sometime down the road if the downturn continues; it has already resulted in people refusing to leave, and some action to help prevent the necessity, while in other cases they are forced to.

Questions like this need deep good judgement that is not always best in the hands of persons who profit by less effective but more lucrative capital aggression.

Ugly Fundamental Physical Truth

Neglect of the physical dimensions of natural phenomena is among the causes of some errors which cause the current persistent worldwide misconstruction.

For instance, life's motive appears to be closely related to the growth of crystals. This arises from the nature of genetic material in cell nuclei which, composed of long sequences of molecules arranged in regular sequences, exhibits crystalline order. It is the crystal arrangement of atoms that allows genetic molecules the extra dimensionality that arises from nuclear resonance.

Nuclei of stable atoms have what one would call a great extension in the time domain. They are always at the very smallest magnitudes of length and distance. The trade-off between distance and time, implicit in the motion of light, and constrained to the short distances of the nuclear scale, is why the nuclear time domain is so extended. This extension into the time dimension is brought to the surface, and into living organisms, in crystal resonance, and the fields of crystals thus have considerable extension in the time domain. That is why life is intrigued with time.

Human beings fancy immortality, and dream of it, built pyramids to struggle for it, yet kill the Sequoia and Redwoods that have attained much more of it than we already. Humans fancy numbers, but algae have attained them - yet humans mindlessly insist on it for themselves, never counting that the fundamental dimensions of size mean something in that argument.

Life is a nuclear phenomenon, that displays its variety and activity from the physical dimensions of space, time and order which exist in atomic nuclei. It is not easy to create a world of variety, beauty and intelligence. It takes billion of years. Saying that the Earth was "made" by somebody's Daddy a few thousand years ago is philosophically a criminal act that should be punished by law. We as human beings have responsibility not for a world which Daddy can fix for us every time we break something. We have a responsibility for a world that evolved in no other way than through billions of years of time. Life on Earth is a precious antique heirloom, not a triviality bestowed for the purpose of his popularity by some pharaoh, emperor or king.

However, crystals also have other attributes, properties, and qualities and they demonstrate other phenomena. One of them is growth. Crystals are well known for the way they grow when in solutions that contain the particles of which they construct themselves. Crystals differ greatly in their hardness, and some excellent examples exists of solutions in which two different kinds of crystals can grow in the same solution.

When two crystals of different hardness are grown in the same solution, the harder, tougher crystal literally crashes through the softer, yielding object disrupting its structure and pushing it out of the way. That is exactly why living organisms are at tooth and claw in nature: they are compelled by the very crystalline nature of genetic material, to grow and, when they encounter each other, the tougher organism wins.

Reproducing and increasing in number or in sheer physical size, the harder organism usually wins. This pattern is as fundamental as ice breaking rocks and sidewalks. It is a pattern well known in the military sciences.

That is why the human overpopulation problem is going to be very difficult to solve, and why it won't yield to superficial reasons. That is why it is already known as a tough problem that is going to require tough decisions.

Yet thinking only of winning is not going to solve the problem of overpopulation of the planet. That will result only in a planet overpopulated with tough, hard people who have killed and eaten everything that makes life interesting on Earth.

This too is a problem fraught with fundamental absolutes. Until mankind tamed fire and began to use it for cooking, organisms ate each other alive and kicking, or recently killed in one-on-one competition, leaving the scraps and remains to organisms that had adapted to scavenging. Some organisms fared better than others; by being tougher, or faster, or better concealed, they could resist attack.

The human development of fire in cooking made it possible to eat anything that lived and call it food. By now we can eat every kind of organism on the planet, and the malicious, murderous slaughter of wildlife for that purpose demonstrates it with revealing clarity. The number of sentient beings in bewildering variety of species that have been savagely reaped or mined like so much plant material or dirt is mind-numbing in the scale of its tragedy. Those merely appearing at any one time as having suffered catastrophic losses are an outrage, and the accumulated list of destroyed species in the hundreds. Many of these species are by now extinct or doomed to extinction, and will not appear again on Earth, ever.

The idea that some redeeming good in the universe must be dedicated to saving mankind is insufferably destructive with its abnegation of human responsibility for the planet. There is nothing preventing the human race from destroying the entire biosphere on Earth, except for the possibility that human war might be better.

If it goes badly, then human overpopulation continues until little remains except the human infestation, the human pestilence, the human plague, the human swarm; the killing of sentient beings as if they are dirt, the cooking with heat fire everything that moves or dreams on the earth, are all likely to continue until planet Earth look like Jupiter's moon Io and with not much left to show for it.

Several species have been around the galaxy three times, many others, twice. Human beings have not been in existence so much as a tenth of one time around the galaxy. If human beings take responsibility for what the sum total of all human beings do, we can perpetuate the heavenly place Earth already was for a billion years and more. Certain absolutely tough, difficult decisions would have to take place in order to do that. These decisions are forever.

Factors Implied by Global Recession

I. Global economic recession appears to be an inevitable unification of modern economic systems into one world-wide pattern. This was made evident by extensive publicity given to multi-national cooperation among economic systems, banking and financial institutions, and governments. Several factors were illuminated by the coordinated activity- some of which could be causes of confusion. The intensity of world change is staggering, and cannot be confused with the mere bewilderment of youth as they take their places in the population, or with political change of hands from generation to generation. World communication is both partly a cause of the rapid change and a means of alleviating its distress.

II. New discoveries transformed human concepts of the nature of the world during the past five centuries. Events of the last century were even more energetically world changing. The period culminated with the Y2K arrival of the third millennium.

III. Technology, including agriculture, manufactures, transportation and communications has put the entire world into a process of renovation and cashiers every discerned error in the construction that had occurred during the last five thousand years. Extensive human development that was millions of years in the making is simply being bulldozed down as not merely inferior, but positively irrelevant to modern concepts of human good. This is ad hoc, everywhere, and no particular organization is evident. Meanwhile, some known human cultures in the past are being reawakened as peoples. No one entity plans this worldwide activity, but it can be perceived as related and consequential.

IV. Two different, important lines of development have become evident: 1) the Egyptian path of massive, executed sandstone and eventually concrete structures; and 2) the Asian Taoist interpretation of nature, which sought the Way through contemplation of seasons that left most human constructions simple. Each was successful in many ways, difficult in others. Both are being re-evaluated now because most of their differences are moot under new, comprehensive concepts of many kinds. Other lines of ancient development may come to light.

V. Despite its brevity and almost theatrically illusory spectacle, the first flights to the Moon-the Apollo series-was a success and returned convincing photos of Earth that confirmed the world view for essentially every person on the planet. The 2020 planned Orion series of flights to the Moon will validate and confirm the Apollo flights. It will bring into play important international and multicultural groups of visitors to the Moon which will do a great deal to moderate and unify human concepts. It will is likely to be anticlimactic for many, world-changing for others.

VI. Preparation for the Orion moon flights obscures the fact that at this time most of the historical human constructions (and misconstructions) of the world are being totally demolished in an irregular way that is not visible part of a single pattern of events. Yet one pattern emerged since the 1890's discovery of galaxies; it brought an understanding that the Milky Way Galaxy resembles a hurricane. Some constructions now being raised are already destined to be obsolete problems within a century. World change now has become metamorphosis, like that described by Ovid regarding Rome - only a thousand times more extensive and intense.

VII. Like a hurricane, with its storm-lull-storm pattern, galactic rotation is a devolution of a titanic vortex onto the Earth's processes. It caused a pattern of war-depression-war in the early 1900's, and appears to be devolving again upon the Earth now. The prolonged war in the Middle East has been followed by the current recession. If this is not handled with understanding, another period of war will follow the recession.

VIII. Public knowledge of the importance of galactic rotation from authorities charged with being responsible for national and world understanding would be valuable. One one side of the giant Milky Way whirlpool, exterior galaxies are coming into view; on the other side, galaxies are being obscured. The change is implacable, never ceasing, never reversing. The angle between the Galactic Center and the Andromeda Galaxy slowly increases. Facts such as these do not seem useful to a perplexed world coming from amateurs; the public needs more substantial assurance, from media, or government.

Silicon emerges now as Calcium and Carbon emerged aeons ago

Silicon emerging

Silicon was tried by some forms of ancient life on Earth which still survive today. Silicon was worked on since primordial times in diatoms and somewhat later in Equisetum. Recently discovered were certain siliceous sponges, the HEXACTINOSIDAN sponges in reefs of British Columbia. They too are very ancient. In all of these, silicon is used only as a structural element. Rudimentarily, dinosaurs used rocks in their craws - gizzards - to help masticate food. Certain organisms like caddis fly larvae coat their shells with sand, gluing it into a stick substance they secrete for that purpose.

Human beings made fundamental breakthroughs in working silicon-bearing substances to the element itself through breaking rocks and shaping pieces into stone tools and weapons, as well as through the use of fire which permitted the firing of clays into vessels. From that time on development of silicon has progressed, in evolutionary time scales, rapidly. Clays evolved into concrete and cement and ceramics into glass, permitted impressive new constructions.

Silicon development became very rapid resulting in the highways and computers that exist today, and its future is vast and likely to continue hundreds of millions of years.

Logic started a few thousand years ago and was refined, along with language, into binary digital information languages. The 256 byte 8-bit character language maps well onto English and other languages with small character sets and 16 and 32-bit character sets were developed for Chinese and related languages. It was proved that it is always possible to map any language onto a binary character set. By now, silicon and digital are almost synonymous with reasoning, information, logic and knowledge. Logic has emerged well beyond the classical or orthodox forms of reasoning premised usually on classicism and religion. By now, logic's theorem provers have discovered new extensions of logic, and such devices as CYC have actually discovered new truths, such as that democratic and parliamentary societies tend to be monotheistic.

One of the dimensions by which information is measured is entropy. It is a statistical quantity that is related to the same statistics in which thermodynamics measures heat in the equation S = -dQ/T. That means the influence of a database tends to become fuzzy when its concept is stretched into the thermal environment. On the other hand, thermostatically regulated office and house interiors have largely freed human beings from variations in temperature.

Consider a large digital database. Whether it represents truth or not may be at first unknown or undecided. If it is a hot database containing millions of active names and financial account numbers or other sensitive information is is generally taken to be true. If it is random pictures or digitized photos, its truth value has somewhat less intensity. If it is the fiction library that has been put into the database it is of less certain truth value, although fiction has a place in describing social scenarios in vague but often usefully relevant allusion. If it is weather forecasts it can be important, sensitive, critical information about the future. And so on.

In rotation three celestial planes are dominant in the exterior cosmological firmament. Notice the use of the theological word "firmament" here: it seems to fit the needs of theology well, theology was completely unperturbed as if to say, "Well, thank you, at last science has given us a clue" and theology deals with spiritual matters which have to do with important and powerful family reproduction, social tenets, moral law and other human values and it does not like to be wrong in terms of centuries. The exterior object firmament seems ideal, for those distant galaxies are not to change their positions relative to each other more than, typically, their own diameters in an entire 220-million year cyclic motion the Sun, Solar System and Earth in its orbit around the Milky Way galaxy. The calculation is simple, based on the speed of light, the typical size of a galaxy, and the maximum speeds galaxies typically move which is a few hundred kilometers each second.

The three celestial planes are

the Equatorial Plane of rotation of the Milky Way Galaxy around which the Solar System moves once in each 220 million years;

the Ecliptic Plane of Revolution of the Earth in its annual or yearly orbit around the Sun as a member of the Solar System; and

the Equatorial Plane of the Earth as it rotates once each day on its axis - the polar axis which commonly is referred to Polaris, the North Star.

Once the exterior object firmament and these three planes are comprehended, it is possible to ascertain right in terms familiar both to politically governing bodies and to scientists alike. These planes determine one or more aspects of the relation of the quantized phenomenon of spin to nuclear, atomic, electronic, molecular and chemical activity in every event on Earth. And that includes in the species called Diatoms, Equisetum, and the Siliceous Sponges as well as every other wilderness plant and animal that uses silicon. In addition, these celestial planes and the cyclic motion by which they affect spin, influence also decisions made by human beings using handwritten, typed, printed, and communicated information, both that created by human beings, and that created by computers.

In particular, information stored in silicon structures is now in a universal cosmology of firmamet and right which is already occupied by ancient living organisms. Information created by human beings is now slowly devolving into silicon-based organisms throughout the world. That truth will be with us for the next million years, ten or a hundred million years - essentially, for the next galactic rotation.

If concrete is forever, can we expect our conclusions and alarm and concern about the fragility of the planet under the onslaught of rampant growth to remain meaningful until the planet has had time to protect itself?

Because the siliceous diatoms and sponges are ancient species, their species are among the resonant modes of Earth's dynamic spectrum. Creating information, and particular, knowing what it is and storing it in or near silicon-based computing systems, is essentially plugging the entropy dimension of the information into the same entropy dimension of the spectra of siliceous organisms.

Now officially, human beings are the only organisms that can translate specific meanings from stored databases. Yet these databases are written in binary languages and they tend to devolve by halves upon the natural Earth. The sex and survival-oriented concepts of the organisms are especially sensitive. They tend to align along major distinctions sustained by information stored in the internet and the immense numbers of computers throughout the world. If a database contains extensive information about the condition of the world, the most important distinctions made by the database become terms of rapport with it, and in accomodating the existence of the database, diatoms and sponges simply accomodate those distinctions. Yet those distinctions contain aspects that are significant in the existence of diatoms and sponges.

Elemental cosmology

There is a concept called 'elemental cosmology' and there is a newer, finer resolution of cosmology into distinct, specific elements. The atomic spectra are exactly what is used to resolve the cosmology for any particular element. The iron spectrum quickly reveals a powerful magnetic field in terrestrial - human! - environments, and the existence of a terrestrial magnetic field was eventually resolved in the iron spectrum. This was shown through flights of magnetometers throughout the solar system to extend far beyond the atmosphere of just this one planet.

Specific elemental cosmologies

Different specific cosmologies for the different elements are discovered through different paths. For instance, the germanium cosmology is not yet even surmised, being conjured here out of the hat containing the table of the elements. Yet some other cosmologies are glaring, such as those of ancient carbon and calcium. Carbon was a component of the atmosphere since billions of years ago, so the existence of a carbon entropy shell around the Earth was not known until recently when it became the subject of a debate about 'dark matter'. The carbon cosmology is still not being surveyed scientifically, and dark matter is assumed to exist throughout the universe instead of locally, around this planet. The emergence of life billions of years ago began the process of creating the entropic 'space charge' or better yet, an 'order field' similar to crystal fields around crystals. Life's use of carbon caused an order field in the specific element carbon, which can be surveyed in carbon's atomic spectrum. Eventually, carbon precipited out of the atmosphere in much the same way as calcium precipitated out of the oceans into limestone.

Carbon and calcium cosmologies

So there were two ancient specific elemental cosmologies - a carbon cosmology, which is a crystal field around the living biosphere, and a calcium cosmology, another crystal field around the specifically ordered deposits of relatively pure calcium. That calcium cosmology might be called a calcium carbonate cosmology, leading to the surmise there are specific molecular cosmologies around the Earth.

But, given the existence of two elements which anciently settled out of chaos into ordered forms and resulted in order fields around the Earth, it must be recognized that the element silicon has wrought its time, and is now precipitating out of the chaos into relatively ordered forms in cement and concrete, as well as into less massive yet more highly purified and exquisitely ordered forms in semiconductor products - computers. Silicon is now in the process of saturating the planet Earth with a silicon cosmology. There are signs this precipitation and cosmology formation will be more extensive and dynamic, more highly order-driven, than any other in the planet's history. Plants and animals did not know they were to be creating an order cosmology based on the roles of elemental carbon in life chemistry and the role of calcium carbonate in the construction of shells, bones and teeth.

Silicon cosmology

The few organisms that tried to use silicon actively were not numerous, and did not command enough mass or energy to create a distinct planetary sphere in the spectrum of that element. Now, however, silicon is in extensive use. Human beings now know there is an order field being created around the earth as a result of the precipitation - by human beings who act as transfer and facilitating agents - of silicon in concrete and pure silicon ingots and their products - architectural structures and highways, and computers and other technological devices. Human beings are now participating in the reconception of planet Earth in terms of another element - silicon - and a planetary spectral sphere is coming into existence in terms of that element.

Silicon cosmology is destined to be eternal around Earth.

Architectural constructions are likely destined to be regarded as crude and gigantic approximations to objects - eventually to be living silicon based systems - which are living, much smaller, and aggressive in the way that plants and shellfish are aggressive at the VERY LEAST. The work of millions of human beings in silicon-based concrete city structures, each of which is a crystal form in that it has unit cells - offices and rooms on the various floors - in which are several nucleating devices - illumination, communication, information processing, transportation and other systems - and each of which contains some functional agent such as a machine or a human being. The results will be metamorphic, and the timeline of this process can be seen to extend along the geodetic timeline of LAGEOS, ETALON, AJISAI and STARLETTE.

At the present time, a few of the more obvious and alarming scenarios have been portrayed in the media fiction. Science fiction has envisioned, for instance, a robot space probe (Voyager) returning having evolved into a superbot bent on destroying the meddling carbon life forms (humans). Of course the plot is foiled.

More likely, though metamorphic, the transformations will be more like the invention of, first, shells by clams and oysters, then movable shells on things that crawl. Computers are being carried around (Blackberry and celphones), are talking to each other (server-client systems), are predicting weather, and sheduling events which shape human destinies (transportation, voting, mass gatherings, and reservation systems for transportation, accomodation, dining, and stock replacement. Autonomous aircraft now fly around and conduct surveillance, bombing raids, and undersea observations. The silicon evolution is upon the Earth, and is going its way. It will not be stopped, for there is no practical way to stop it. If one person refuses to cooperate, another person will. If one human group refuses to cooperate, another human group will, for silicon rewards those who cooperate in the evolution of itself as a fundamental form of life based on silicon.

It is in this cosmology that silicon carbide is a hard compound. Terrestrial life is almost certain to be dominated by silicon and carbon together. This dominance is a part of, and equivalent to, the economics of silicon in both cement and semiconductor production and their associated industries, construction, transportation and technology.

Evolution and Economic Change in the Current Recession

Millions of years of what? Money is a form in evolving process.

Evolution is the dynamic pattern and habit of change. The emergence of powerful evolving systems like constructions, money, technology and manufacturing have brought the human species into a new relationship with the rotation of the Milky Way Galaxy. In ancient times that rotation was not distinguished from the influence of seasons and the Sun and Moon. Now, galactic rotation exists at a measured rate, and woe betide the person or organization that forgets it never goes backward, never stops, and influences everything on earth in molecular, atomic and subatomic ways.

On the scale of evolutionary time - that is, the time comprehended by diversification in species - the human species is, at the outset, an changing, relatively young species. It became radically distinct from other animals only around 12 million years ago, changed a good deal since then, and only with the last few ten thousand years began a determined course toward constructionist and technological society. Since the profound successes five or six thousand years ago of the earth pyramid builders in the Middle East and the development of Taoist concepts of order in Asian, progress has been swift.

The difference at first between the two was that the pyramid builders began to use the execution of human beings as a preliminary to further action such as construction and war. This was only rendered into more modern, civil forms after thousands of years of struggle in which theology and law were not distinct much of the time. Taoism, on the other hand, attempted to derive little or no significant advantage in its comprehension of the natural world from the killing of human beings. That abhorrent practice was not used to advantage in the field of war except to eliminate enemies, and in political society, the light shed by executions was almost entirely dominated by the continuing realm and otherwise was used to terrify subject populations.

Modern concepts of evolution are sophisticated and describe well, according to various statistical tests, even the evolution discovered in the fossil record, of plants and animals that disappeared millions of years before human beings existed. By now, human evolution primarily consists of constructions, technologies and organization and not changes in human form. Houses, roads, buildings, bridges and other forms in architecture are strikingly similar in appearance throughout the world, and their design is a matter of constant scrutiny, reconsideration and improvement. Most of the energy invested by plants and animals into struggling with their world and the uncomprehending assimilation of order from that struggle into their own forms and behaviors, was inefficient. Human beings, however, have carefully distinguished and resolved their actions and expenditures of energy into different techniques and practices.

The result is that human beings have shifted evolution away from themselves into their works. The construction of shelters has led to modern housing design and the works of architects, planners and builders. Small hand-worked farms have emerged into modern business scale agricultural land development complete with infrastructures of transportation, storage, food processing, redistribution and retail of refined foods and prepackaged meals like noodle soup. The working of hides and hand woven fabrics has become industrial production of textiles and large scale largely automatic manufacture of clothing carefully designed to fit the human form. Transportation has changed from walking and riding on animals or boating on waters, to immense road and highway systems, vast numbers of motor vehicles along with airplanes and ships. Communication has changed from talking and shouting, to telegraph, telephone, motion picture, television, radio, and internet systems that link the whole world with instantaneous distribution of information, some of it translated by machines into every language on the planet. Money is an evolving system itself. The evolution of money went by fits and starts, devaluation and the complete disappearance of some moneys with replacement by new, then the appearance of checking and banking, credit and debit cards being an interesting case, and eventually into the virtual disappearance of the cash economy and utter dominance by credit economy.

Debit and credit cards are interesting because at first they were thought to be necessarily distinct because the were believed to emerge from two different classes of human beings. This was abandoned when classless society, undifferentiated into small exclusive privileged classes such as royalty and classes of the most numerous population usually called commoners. Debit and credit cards quickly became rather obviously indistinct, when debit cards evolved overdraft protection, and certain penalties such as interest rate increases continued to exist in credit card systems.

Unless it is recognized how deeply money systems are embedded in the evolutionary process, it will be difficult to predict its vagaries of inflation and paroxysms of recessions and depressions. One important point is that as with natural evolution, galactic rotation is significant. It is the very context of evolution. A specific time rate and direction is associated even with extremely long periods of time such as millions of years. To refer to millions of years as if it is a transcendent concept is no longer meaningful where it must be understood correctly; millions of years in the past? Millions of years in the future? Millions of years centered around the present year?

The Third Wheel of Justice, Slow Extra Fine

Galactic rotation is ancient even in geological terms. It has influenced life on earth well over the half billion years since multicelled organisms emerged. Life was influenced involuntarily, though. Only now have human beings begun to take it into account. It's influence is deep in the atoms and molecules of life.

One of the idealistic hopes of the economic system is that new gadgets and other new technology will save the economic system, when in fact the real trouble is that excesses of the industrial market system - the well known ravaging of natural resources, slaughter of vast quantities of wildlife as if it is merely mineral deposits, excess human population, and toxic poisons in the environment, have all caught up with the entirety of human civilization. It is impossible to ignore their impact high and low, and impossible to reverse many of the consequences.

Particularly - and I didn't discover this - the recent discovery of the exterior object galaxies that comprise exactly what was meant by the ancient theologians as the 'firmament' brought understanding of the nature of the Milky Way Galaxy, that it rotates, never stops and never reverses, and that it was figurative during the last three orbits of the Sun, Solar System and Earth around the Milky Way galaxy during the last 700 million years.

Human abuse of Earth's natural balances, of individual with individual, species with species, industry with wildlife, human hunger with edible species, has caught the economies of civilization in imbalances that can only be righted by reference to the cosmology in each detail of civilization's economies.

Nature understands the processes by which species survive or go extinct through one-on-one competition between individuals, but no such comprehensive understanding exists of industrial market economies. The rotation of the Galaxy is the slowest of the wheels of justice and is the one most recently brought into the great court of evolution in which human beings now plead. It's a very slow milling wheel, and it sifts and grinds exceedingly fine, down to the spin coupling in bonds between the atoms of molecules.

Now, when a proposal for releasing the public moneys for a for a new project, details with which it must be justified are molecular.

When strategies are deliberated on policies toward ocean mammals, molecular bonds must be taken into account.

When land is taken into corporate management, the disposition of its forests, wildlife, and minerals must face molecular inquiry.

Now, when funds are granted industry for the continued production of high energy products like vehicles, the molecular structures of highways, vehicles, people, wildlife and the environment must be taken into account.

That's why this recession may last a long time; certain aspects of it may never end, for the molecular grind is just beginning to reach resolution. The Galaxy slices all life with the symmetries associated with chirals, electronic spin, bond angles, resonance, spectral terms, species differentiation, the nature of the One insofar as it means One Organism, One Species, One Planet, and many other topological, physical, mathematical, chemical, organic and environmental details.

There is no way to get out of it. For industrial market economies to work properly, they must work right. People who go to stores must do things right - balance their accounts, pay their bills, drive their car or walk or ride to the store, select their food to match their dietary requirements, keep the house warm, dry and safe, be civil to each other, obey the laws. All of these factors are, it is hoped, designed right. Yet it is a sure bet that almost all were designed with utter indifference to galactic rotation before the exterior galaxies were discovered around 1880. The only people who had any sense of it were pregnant women, and they could only adapt as best they could sense it.

Measurements were made of galactic rotation, most recently by NASA, and it was found to be about six milliarcseconds each year, or six arc seconds in a thousand years. Human beings now preserve ancient traditions since five thousand years ago. Six milliarcseconds is not much for a whole year. How about 24 milliarcseconds in for years? That touches on national elections.

In a day the galaxy rotates 16 microarcseconds, or one microarcseconds in an hour and a half. That seems to be an impossibly small angle, but it shows up in molecules and blood circulation, and can be perceived in taste. Get it wrong, and things gradually become bitter, bitter. Get it right, and the flavors are sweet.

If the proper decisions are not made during this recession, it will be only slowly resolved, and will end in some bitter factors, the depth of which will be deeply divisive of human society. If the proper decisions are made, or taken from the stars and skies and galaxies, they may imply some serious powerful mandatory changes, that will come about only through strong government. It could mean drastically curtailing the transportation industries, changes in the nature of housing and changes in the nature of work, employment and agriculture.

Facing recession with foreknowledge

At this time, 2008, facing the onset of economic recession and the possibility that it may be deep is much the same in some ways as the 1929 Stock Market Crash and the Great Depression that followed it, and at the same time, some VERY important differences obtain. This time, there need be no war to go to the Moon.

There are no New Earths on Earth. None of the other planets are good farmland. Stay home even in your dreams.

Differences that can already be readily identified include

1. In 1936, Flight to the Moon was only in the unknown future, and every dynasty since Cheops compelled human beings onward to accomplish that at all cost.

In 2008, flight to the Moon is past accomplishment, and well recorded. If it is not past mastery, that can be attained in 2030 or 2050 if necessary. It won't be never.

Someday the great-grandkids will go to the Moon again if we don't now.

2. Communications is very different now, with solid written information available to anyone anywhere on the earth, in the city or in the country, from anywhere else on earth.

Best information about how to survive and stay healthy and strong as economic times worsen, even if they become very strangely primitive, is quickly assembled and distributed on the Internet. Vitally, people anywhere can search for what they need to know. They do not need to schedule
an expensive trip to a distant county or state courthouse to obtain information. People can and do readily share tips on how to store food, insulate the house, and live more carefully, staying clean at lower cost, and other vital tactics.

At this time, one of the dreams is that people will in fact be able to not only survive, but thrive, while residing in their homes. Presumably, agribusiness scale farming will continue.

Other factors about thriving at home include simply adapting to the practice of considering, as time passes, what to do in the near future - in the next few days, or weeks, or months.

Making these slow decisions was always a part of farm life and it can become a valuable practice of human society throughout large tracts of residential housing.

If the old economic system collapses, it will be because something better looms in the future, perhaps distantly. It is not the goal of housing to evict people from their homes. Houses were build for people to live in them, and people residing in their homes should not be forced or required or tricked into leaving them just because the world economic system collapses. Perhaps the landlords have to take the hit; this would have to be governed civilly, and mercifully, but a landlord might just be out of a job and in the same position as his householders are - in a house and little better.

Perhaps occupying a home would become a matter of proper legal filing, and perhaps a small fee to cover the administration by city, county and state government jurisdictions of who lives in what house.

Perhaps other costs would be utilities - water, electricity, garbage, roads, street assessments, insurance and school levies , but not horribly huge mortgage or rent payments every month.

If that is true, the usual mortgage package - consisting of from an inch to a foot or several feet of papers thick - would have to be redesigned from the ground up by professional information theorists, logicians, and programmers. Housing paperwork by now has centuries of ancient practices that began in feudal times, using phrases that date back to Rome, but they often contain redundant terms and the filing regimes are not coordinated. For instance, the title clerk or homeowner has to write or type his name and address in those documents, and they go to dozens of different offices that provide the doctrine of ownership throughout the land.

Modern logic can simplify the administrative procedures that have been necessary since ancient times - even worse, since the typewriter - greatly. The redesign of housing ownership should be undertaken with great attention to economies of scale, because the ownership or occupancy package will be coordinating information that allocates millions of houses to millions of people in thousands of jurisdictions in thousands of counties and dozens of states. It is not a task that will take only a year or two by some money-balance software manufacturer. It would need to be a major project of government.

As for now, we can face the ensuing recession and the potential for a prolonged depression with the knowledge that we can communicate readily, and we can remember what worked and what failed about the long recovery during the 1930's. This time, there need be no war to go to the Moon.

More importantly, we should abandon the science fiction ideas of going to other planets - "New Earths" - if we run out of resources or ruin this one. There's no chance of it. Only two other objects in the solar system exist with any acreage on which a person can stand up. Neither has enough air to breathe, neither has water in significance except at truly horrendous cost, and neither is as survivable as a house on Earth. No other object in the solar system has the comforts of a house on Earth or the arable crop-yielding capacity of land on Earth.

Dynasties, slavery and money

Dynasties were human constructions so large they became naturalized phenomena in secular evolutionary development. Secular evolutionary development was the rate at which evolution took place - glacially slow, like molasses in January for half a billion years.

The pyramids changed all that. The pyramids - which sprouted all over the earth around the equators - were and still are durable, crystal-like forms constructed of massive stone blocks and were large as mountains to many creatures and human beings too. They were presented obviously a fundamentally ordered, non-chaotic principle in their forms. They changed the instincts of every creature that became transfixed by the new shapes.

The dynamics of human civilization - and, led by human beings, of the activities of many other species - were altered by the pyramids. These new forms spanned great distances, relativistically large distances so that even though the principles of modern relativity were unknown, those attributes of living organisms that were inherently limited by relativity, such as size and speed, were challenged by the new constructions. Why were they different from the world which had always existed?

To human beings during the time in which the pyramids were being construction, it was clear where they came from. It was not necessarily clear to those who toiled why they were different, but they knew the construction was by human beings and they lived under a regime that decreed it was because of human beings they were built.

Lesser works were often constructed after the largest of the pyramids had been dragged into existence. Yet the smaller constructions, whatever they were, did not span as much time in their completion, and so it would be a common experience that the pyramids had existed long before a worker and the ancestors he knew had lived; he would do some kind of work whether it was in the fields or towns; and after he had passed and his children and perhaps his children's children came into being, any project he was working on would be completed, and then it would be understood that the Pyramids which had preceded their construction were destined to exist in the future as well. There would be a resting phase, a lapse during which society would retreat to agriculture and it is almost certain that some protested what they saw as 'decay' while others welcomed the resting phase, called 'hiatus' as a chance to recover virtue, strength, peace, nature, instinct, resonance with life, and other valued qualities of tranquility.

It gradually came to pass that after several such cycles of dynasty and hiatus, that different kinds of rulers existed from one hiatus, or as we would call it, 'period of development' and another. These periods of development existed as separate periods of a kind of rule that was for several cycles familiar in kind. Yet as time passed, differences appeared in the forms of rule in the periods of dynastic activity. In some there were pharaohs, in others, kings, in others, emperors. Different patterns of dynasty and hiatus appeared also in different parts of the world. As a result, the general pattern of emerging thought, determination, planning, construction, culmination, cresting or triumph or dominance, flourish, and finally a period in which it was understood that something had come to pass while yet another future was beginning to precipitate, crystallize, catalyze and emerge within the old.

The idea became persistent that "dynasty" is kind of a durable container in which one or another form of society, rule, government, or civilization exists; and these may include any of several different powerful, highly respected forms: theologies, autocracies, empires, kingdoms, democracies, principalities, sheikdoms, and communism as well as others not mentioned here, perhaps others not yet dreamed, come into existence, endure for a long or short time, and then pass.

Given the vast span of natural history, it is at once valuable to be entirely optimistic about human destiny and at the same time see that many things in human activity evolve visibly - slowly or rapidly they appear; some leave vestiges or parts that endure much longer, some of their aspects disappear quickly. In time, those longest lived become sufficient to sustain civilization in themselves, and the nature of civilization becomes longer-term.

At the present time, the Earth has just completed one long dynastic goal - to reach the moon. Other goals have been completed, such as domestication of animals and a naturalized yet governed agriculture, water distribution, voting, money, medicine, flight and other transportation, communications and so on. It is not quite known yet, with the attainment of the Moon being completed, what is now to transpire. Perhaps the constructions necessary to reach the moon are to be viewed as awkward, groping and significantly preternatural diversions from the destiny the planet is inevitably to pursue as time passes with the Moon having footsteps upon it. In that case, it can be expected that important changes are to occur, as the planet reviews itself, takes stock, and devolves what it devolves.

Bearing in mind the number of casualties in war and the losses of nonhuman life, that is certainly possible. It is easy to imagine, now after the face, easier ways to have reached the Moon. For instance the nature of truth is now known not to require human life with which to determine the "moment of truth". Thus it could have been concluded long ago that even with fiery rockets, it is never necessary to burn human beings or other living organisms to fly to the Moon. The origin of the error is not clear; it may have occurred in pre-Cambrian seas with the evolution of cephalopods, the octopuses and squids that use momentum conservation as a form of propulsion.

Slavery is another matter. Entirely alongside in evolution, slavery was ancient, practiced at least by ants. Slavery was not a sup rise in ancient Egypt, and it need not and should not be pretended that the conditions of labor were extremely harsh and constraining. Neither were they a sup rise. With no knowledge about any other kind of cooperative large scale work, simple illiterate human beings would not have protested. How could they? That set the pattern of labor for thousands of years. Yet the cost of slavery was always high. Slaves had to be fed and housed, though the societies were probably not far from assuming that anybody, even a slave, would find some place to shelter even if it was a hovel - as long as it was not the master's house.

Money was unknown, and so it was necessary to keep slaves. Breaking them in was essential and might involve years. Slaves were not easily traded where barter was the only form of commerce, so that trading slaves was not something one did frequently. They had to be kept, as well - that is, retained, constrained or in some other way prevented from leaving or, if they did go, they had to be persuaded to return. Slave societies had their grotesque forms of expertise.

What seems to have emerged is that the development of increasingly sophisticated economic activity gradually led to the realization of hired labor. This obviously spanned a great deal of time - thousands of years. The very earliest coins were rare and hand-made; only the wealthy and powerful had them and in part they were wealthy and powerful because they controlled the means of producing and keeping money. That is a serious problem today even as distributed forms of economic activity are being rapidly improved.

It seems to be distinctly money that was the key and catalyst to the overseas transport of human beings as slaves. Freed of barter, or using a mixed barter and money pattern of trade activity, it was no longer necessary for the buyer of a slave to be given on the spot an agreed upon quantity of other goods. Slaves could be taken from Africa in return for - what? Were they taken by sheer power? Not mostly. They were taken in return for manufactured goods - iron pots, knives and spears; guns; alcohol; cloth manufactured goods and so on. The slaves could be transported to another place, which at that time included the Americas, and they could be paid for with what was produced in the Americas. Those goods were then transported to Europe, and the shipping costs incurred by the shipping company cleared at the bank with money. Money could then be used to purchase more goods that could be taken to Africa and used to buy slaves. That grisly cycle is important to mention occasionally because it helps weather slavery down into oblivion, like recovering a little more sanity by recalling a painful event to release the distorted energy for something more useful like happiness.

Money and its accounting, substance, keeping, distribution and use, have increased in sophistication, completeness, closure, extent, value and quality in fits and starts since seashells and beads were the only money. It was about the time of Rome that money reached a distinctly transcendental quality. After the first millennium, money was rapidly equated with writing, literature and hence with authority. Money became controlled by abstracted authority, and the contests for power between kingdoms and other powers for authority, including especially authority over money, are important parts of history. The eventual sophistication of money became nearly Godlike, and it is not surprising that the dollar bill depicts the Eye of God floating over a Pyramid.

This is deep stuff. The pyramids at once held transfixed the natural eye, the eye of Nature's God which would have occurred as soon as the Pyramids were recognized as the same as mountains in their size and massive structure, yet different in that they presented a human-originated civil and structural order that is far from nature's relatively chaotic and unprincipled order. For instance the pyramids do not have S-shaped winding river channels running down their sides. That was the condition of the pyramids six thousand years ago.

Yet the dollar presents something else: the Eye of God by now has become the eye of One God - the monotheistic God which, or rather who, was discovered in Egypt of about 2,000 B.C., four thousand years ago, was forgotten in the tumult of pre-authoritarian society, and was remembered in the Roman Empire - as under Marcus Aurelius - and then reaffirmed in 1,000 A.D. when the Roman Authority with its extensively written Latin literature had easily spanned and lived a thousand years. The sixteenth century begs desperately to be mentioned and will in time, but by the time of the American Revolution in the eighteenth century, the 1776 engraved in Roman numerals at the bottom of the pyramid with the Eye of God on it clearly meant that it was the Eye of the One God - the One True God, that is now comprehended in modern theology throughout the world.

Not only is that number, MCMLXVII in Roman Numerals a positive definite representation of counting units one by one, it is in its inverse a definition, spanning over a thousand years, of what the idea of One means. The continuous literate and authoritarian record of civilization, to however far back in history it can be traced, asserts and provides for mankind and for the planet Earth (space aliens or no) a determinate kind of ordering of temporal events that stands alongside calendars and clocks as the time domain now, of evolution in Earth's future.

Now it is true that important political instruments in history have condemned slavery, but the problem emerging now is that empires and other political forms are able to extract heartbreaking toil and distraction from human beings who are perfectly capable of living in freedom and liberty, by the simple device of ensuring that everybody is free to use money, and then by sampling statistics, determining what people will buy or sell in return for their labor and toil.

Human beings are blessedly simple creatures, who would live in blissful happiness if they were merely free. Yet money makes it possible for those who control it to statistically enslave a sufficient number of workers, so that a regime's sometimes demonic toil can be accomplished without actually keeping the slave as a captive. If a person is willing to keep a job, whether he is happy or not is no longer the determinant. A sufficient amount of money can purchase his time and if he quits, another person can be found to work that shift.

These are exciting times. By now, robots are being sold by the millions, designed mostly to perform the very acts that were the most degrading and dehumanizing - sandblasting rust off steel, spray painting or working in sewers. Robots have saved and rescued thousands or more workers who were put to those nauseating, toxic, deafening environments. It is time for labor to present the grateful side of its stand for robots; that would be a serious contribution to robot development of a kind that will truly free human beings from enslavement.

Except, of course, by robots.

Ancient Dynasty Industrially Processing Planet Earth

In the long run, a few great, serious problems exist which can be identified at the present time.

These include Reduction of the planet to FUNDAMENTAL FORMS OF THE ACTION and the consequent EXTERMINATION OF ALL LIFE except the beings that manufacture and operate the machines which conduct that extermination and a few other life forms that constitute their food. Living organisms, including SENTIENT BEINGS, are converted to inanimate hash by the millions of tons each years. Wildlife and domesticated animals are treated like a mineral deposit.

It is not clear that the ancient dynasties did not inadvertently put the human race to converting the Earth to radiation. More likely it was not anciently understood, that a difference exists between converting the Earth to radiation, and harmless and beneficial assimilation of the mass-energy equation by living organisms, including people.

The form of the dynasties that began six thousand years ago and have continued to this day have been based on massive constructions with an emphasis on four, quartering and other such arrangements of 2+2, 2*2, and 2^2. It seems to have begun with the three Great Pyramids. They were only the constructionist representation of the fundamental importance of 'four' on Earth.

Earth is in a solar system with two large objects, the Sun and Jupiter, that together dominate the solar system's mass, and orbit a massless point in space outside the surface of the Sun. This creates quadrupole moment in the Solar System, and that is mainly the reason why there are four distinctly largest planets around the very largest of which orbit four distinctly largest moons.

It is also the reason why tetrapod organisms dominate the vertebrates, the important largest class of living animals, of which the human species simply happens to have learned to walk upright, think, and use its hands well.

Four-ness subsequently led to some more recent problems. One of them is the pyramids; three are sufficient to suggest even to the smallest mind (being as they are made of huge rectilinear sandstone blocks) the number 4.

The four-ness of everything in human civilization is one of the results. It eventually led to a quartering of the action into its familiar four dimensions, where the [ ] square brackets mean that the quantities within them are dimensions, not quantities, measures or amounts.

[ACTION] = [MASS]*[LENGTH]*[LENGTH]*[FREQUENCY]

After three thousand years of inquiry, light was reduced to speed, and to some kind of constant. They became two different problems. The speed of light was estimated in many different ways, and is a rich, interesting history that started with sheer guesswork, progressed with estimates of its limits based on the timing of certain moons of distant planets, and ended with counting the number of ticks of good fast clocks while light traveled to a mirror and back. The speed of light was named just that, and it is symbolized with a c.

The remaining constant was eventually quartered - divided into four different parts. You can bet that the first thing assumed was that light consists of three different things, not four. The techniques of triage (when things are really tough) and quartering (when they are not, as in habitation) are very familiar. Its discovery is equally fascinating. The constant was named "quantum" and its symbol is h.

That's why an important brand of sugar which digests to practically pure energy, is called "C&H".
For as many years as mankind worked, he was a toiling brute and enslaved animals into beasts of burden, until finally power was harnessed from nature in various ways. Wind in sails and later in windmills and water in water wheels began to improve the situation.

Then heat engines, such as the steam and internal combustion engine, electric motor and so on freed man from domesticated animals and being a beast of burden himself, but also freed his works from the burdens of conscience.

The latter liberty was a real tragedy. It has resulted in a reduction of the Earth into the four fundamental dimensions of action, which constitutes half of light's friendly attributes.

By now millions of tons-that's MILLIONS, i.e. 1,000,000 multiplied many times-over of Earth's living, sentient beings are processed by machines -conscienceless, unconscionable inanimate machines, whose only consciences are their owners, into so much industrial products like they are inanimate mineral ores or dirt.

Moreover, much of the resulting corpses and much of the earth itself is also being transformed into the fundamental dimensions of the action - that action of light. Can it be, that the ancient dynasties put mankind to an attempt to transform the entire Earth into light? One good way to do that is to convert it entirely into energy, as in a nuclear mass-energy transformation. Perhaps there are processes in the universe, by which relatively small planets which are not stars, do not have to be stars, suddenly annihilate into light and light-like radiation such as the entire photoelectric spectrum.

Perhaps some of what are called nova, supernova or gamma ray bursts are not stars at all-it would not take many-are small objects like planets, that suddenly turn into energy. Why? That is not known; it is only conjectured that within the vast universe, dangers exist that are as yet unknown, while we human beings are busily transforming the Earth into vast quantities shaped like the fundamental dimensions of the action.

These fundamental dimensions are mass, length and frequency and their inner products which are mainly speed, area and momentum.

MASS, LENGTH, FREQUENCY, SPEED, AREA AND MOMENTUM

Let's examine these one by one.

MASS: The Earth and its sentient beings are reduced to MASS in millions of tons each year of cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and fish, as well as iron ore (which is even named 'pig iron'), aluminum, coal, cement, and other refined substances from mineral deposits of the Earth.

The Earth is being consumed by the unconscionable machine that is thought to be run by a conscience- bearing operator who works because he must live and is paid to do the work and if he won't do it there is someone on the next shift who will.

"Have dominion over the Earth, and cherish it." Yeah, right.

The same ravenously gluttonous eye looks with stuffed cheeks at the Moon and at Mars thinking of what minerals might lie under the surfaces of those planets.

LENGTH is produced in millions of miles of rope, yarn, twine, pipe, rod, girder, wire, nylon, sisal, polyethylene, and other substances.

FREQUENCY is produced in are produced continually at every frequency that can be named, throughout the electric field spectrum. Gamma and X-rays, ultraviolet, visible and infrared light, millimeter, meter and 'micro'-waves, short and long wave radio waves, VLF waves are all neatly ruled, which is a saving grace, and pumped to the space and a few terrestrial listeners, in everything from microwatt to megawatts and gigawatts from portable telephones to radio and television transmitters all over the world.

SPEED is velocity with no direction known. Everybody loves speed. Fast tennis shoes on kids, fast bicycles, fast cars, fast boats, faster airplanes, faster yet jet, even faster rockets, fast bullets, fast company... Hurry, get up! Get busy! Faster!

AREA is simply length*length, as in square meters. The Earth, our only planet and lovely home, is being transformed into sheets of steel, sheet aluminum, sheets of plywood, glass windows, cardboard, wallboard, carpets, linoleum, ceramic tile, asphalt, concrete and cement roadways, fishing nets, sailcloth, paint layers, cloth, fabric, textiles and so on. This is in millions of square meters each year - square feet, square yards, acres and hectares, square kilometers and square miles as well.

MOMENTUM is another subset of the dimensions of action. Rarely mentioned explicitly, high momentum systems are constructed in huge or fast (or both) important vehicles: railroad trains, ships, airplanes and space rockets, bullets and other projectiles are forms of momentum. Particularly requiring determination are the causes of great streams of highway traffic, which constitute vast momentum and in total action, quantities yet to be estimated.

ENERGY is an exterior form; it is not by itself comprehended within the dimensions of action alone. Rather, an additional and second factor of frequency must be incorporated into action, and the result is Energy:

[ENERGY]=[MASS]*[LENGTH^2]*[FREQUENCY^2]

This is simple, and it has the additional quality that Energy has its own Mass equivalence, from the famous (and productive) Einstein equation for that equivalence - the "E = m * c^2" equation. So, we are transforming the world into action, in which vast fossil carbon and hydrocarbon deposits are being dug up out of the ground to create energy, which is very close to the dimensions of action, and which has its own mass equivalence.

It is POSSIBLE human beings are trying to recover the original relationship between mass and energy, and then incorporate the mass-energy equivalence into the forms of life itself. It IS after all possible to do that; just consider the food energy you consume, and its mass equivalence. It is possible to substitute or displace to some extent in this equation. Just what this implies is not yet clear. The presumption is that life can be improved in some way by taking the mass-energy equivalence into account. This means assuming that the energy of the food you eat and are, has some E=m*c^2 relationship to the mass you eat and are.

So you consume, say, 1500 Calories a day, and your weight is thus and so. How does THAT energy fit into THAT mass? In the experience of this person, scientist, the first time I considered that, the mass and energy went off in the plane of their mutual equivalence, it all seemed to disappear quickly. That was years and years ago. People who live and work near atomic energy are familiar with it. Revamping life on earth in terms of the mass-energy equivalence and in terms, too, of the speed of light, the quantum and certain other physical laws recently discovered, seems to be more in the path of the future evolution of mankind and life on Earth, than does systematic destruction of the planet and reduction of its living organisms to inanimate material.

It is NOT FAIR and NOT JUST to accuse persons who are concerned with such monstrous misconstruction, of fundamentalism. The entire planet's industrial might is determinedly, using machines, reducing the Earth and life on it to the whole range from high order low entropy forms to utterly chaotic, randomized rubble. Destroying the Earth, by being ignorant parts of some kind of evolved surrounding regime that is the result of evolution taking up the Dynastic form, is error. Not protesting it.

Reduction of the Earth to a fourth part was begun with three great Pyramids as if they were three of the four largest planets. Yet we do not even know whether the goal of the world's industries is to make that fourth part good, or merciful, or a garden, or habitable, too ordered for life or too chaotic for life. We have no idea whether dynasty's undefined fourth quarter will have any wildlife, any large animals, any Bluefin Tuna, Atlantic Cod, Alaska Herring, songbirds in it. It's not at all clear whether any of the hundreds of species on the Endangered Species list is viewed by Dynasty with alarm, or whether Dynasty has the capacity for conscience regarding the dozens or hundreds of species that have already been extinguished by the callous, insensate hand of the human so slavishly and statistically serving it.

Recession is Caused by Matters of Vital Necessity

Recession, if it comes, should not be regarded as entirely an unmixed curse. There are serious advantages to be gained by a stronger-than- usual period of moderation. This is not escapism. For six thousand years the entire world has been on a bird and dog struggle to reach the Moon - depicted in the famous Egyptian painting of bird-headed men sailing a winged boat to the great orbs in the sky ahead. Moreover this was merely the rational depiction of the intended journey, for the moon compelled direction throughout all the billion years in the history of life on Earth with the influence of the tides.

Instead of taking an uncontrolled hiatus as devolved between Egyptian dynasties, the world at present has the leadership and communications to understand what would be gained through such a period of rest, and how to winnow it away from the agony of struggle and belief that it is nothing but uncontrollable misery. Capitalism's marvelous success came at a price - that of unleashing species as information in economic currency and the untrammeled power of machines - and it revealed that aggression can make itself a part of any endeavor. A period of quiet would help resolve some of these complex issues.

This is similar to the way workmen take a break when they know they have not yet reached the point of such exhausting that they takes on an increasing risk of accident. That kind of planning is a part of every job definition involving risk and danger. Every labor union fights for the right to take that break. Certainly the intensity of world economic activity does involve danger.

In a planned hiatus it would be among the responsibilities taken on to determine the essential industries, business, and activities, and then deregulate, devolve or, if necessary, enforce shutdowns of industries that are of such intensely aggressive development that they are stretching rational justification in the present stage of development of civilization's progress.

As for the 'stage of civilization' it is appropriate to believe that the essentials of world development will endure many thousands of years - food, housing and other shelter, clothing, and moderated forms of education, transportation, and the mining of coal, oil and other minerals. The world would be devolving its industry with the intention that it shall provide good environments for children, perhaps for several generations, without the massively aggressive industrially driven consumer purchases and military's aggressive conglomeration of vast numbers of excessive weapons of mass destruction of which the United States already owns a vast number.

Certain events have already taken place in the right direction. Deregulation of airplanes, iron and steel, clothing and textiles, banking and the destruction of nerve gas stockpiles have already taken place.

The new participation by government in ownership in banking is a much needed step because of its very moderation. However, it does not address some of the most bloated kinds of development such as transportation. It's well known the transportation industry has a great deal of power in government today. This should be curtailed. Perhaps it would be a good step equivalent to that taken in banking and finance, if government insisted on taking a percent - say twelve percent (12%) - of fossil fuel industrial stocks. Why twelve? That pointed number is aimed at the atomic weight of carbon, which is (except for certain scarce isotopes) twelve. Don't let that technical detail derail the importance of showing at least some sign of positive conscious intention for human intervention in over development before collapse becomes unrestrained.

A hiatus, since the Apollo flights to the Moon and subsequence success was achieved, is not merely desirable. It is inevitable, and the present recessionary trend is its positive manifestation, its most logical form, and, if the panic is removed, a good idea the time of which came before anybody knew it was coming. The Chinese character for Crisis is composed of two other characters; Danger and Opportunity. The military's senseless habit of overcoming danger with blind faith and massive destructiveness was learned through thousands of years of primitive brutality in which soldiers were nothing more than expendable peasants that could be made angry and armed. That was part of the realm that named the marvelously successful Mars Rovers Spirit and Opportunity, and it came to a good thing. Perhaps it ended the time when the Pentagon is utterly blind to danger no matter what it costs.

As for the space projects, most now planned are well designed, but it can be announced that projects beyond earth's orbit, and perhaps the Moon and Mars, will be viewed with considerable jaundice. Those outer planets will not change in another hundred million years and no hurry is indicated. Projects toward them are frightfully expensive and very misleading to the public (some of which is hungry) waiting with bated breath for space aliens to be discovered so that the military can prove its existence and overkill capability was ever justified.

Far too much of military armaments and space exploration is still pseudo-justified at great cost to sensible leaderships resources which can find better use in human activities that do some earthly good for people.

Earth observation satellites would be given high priority - surveillance of weather, volcanic activity, flooding, storms, croplands, minerals, wildlife, pollution, temperature and other factors is already highly developed and should not be touched. It is relatively cheap for what it does, especially compared with idiotic manned flights to Mars. Even returning to the Moon is an extravagance, though it has been justified somewhat by the illusion that the Apollo success has been drifting into Myth and no longer commands the respect of the planet. However, the Apollo flights were successful in fact and they did change the Earth's concepts - even wild primitive concepts - a good deal. More change will occur with the second series. The next series of Moon flights is also good because it will include as great a variety of people as possible.

Volcano and earthquake prediction systems are also supremely good projects and should be continued. They are not costly.

But the world must bite the transportation dilemma head-on. Take a bite of the approaching hood ornaments. The present transportation system is NOT a sustainable economic factor.

The world population problem must also be addressed with more courage. Invite more people who don't have children to lend their understanding of what makes life happy that is not ever more children. Courageously address the solution in the public media, of limiting children. The conflict that will ensnare with certain religions like the Mormon church should be made enlightening. Address the possibility - simply make it known that it might be possible - of limiting ownership of motor vehicles. Just who, and how many, and where - all that needs to be gone over with a fine tooth global extensive media discussion for years before the really good solutions come to light.

Destruction of the world's wild species is something being imposed on this lonely planet without regard to the fact that it is almost instantaneous in the span of time in which wildlife have been, and will continue to be, important to the human species. Compare it with a million years: the massive, vast, overwhelming and monstrously violent slaughter of the world's wildlife began with the invention of firearms and machines like steam and internal combustion. It has gone unabated and insensate since then because the two entities being pitted against each other are MACHINES AS SPECIES, and the wildlife as wild species even if sentient beings, and they are purely helpless against the machines, powerless to fend against the destruction of their existence. Extinction is forever.

Already, human beings no longer resonate with each other in the spectra of hundreds of extinct species. Human beings almost cannot recognize life's resonance with each other at all. It has been narrowed to specific terms defined by machines such as radio, television, portable telephone, and permitted conversations in permitted languages. It is almost certain that human depression is a real consequence of the concrete, steel and machines; the regimentation and authority imposed on every and all kinds of activity; the rampant, endless slaughter of wildlife; the constant stream of death emerging as animals are murdered on the roads and highways; the bizarre theaters that supposedly define human consciousness; and other factors that would be truly absurd if they were not so fascist and destructive.

Recession, if it comes to extensive economic collapse, should be regarded as not entirely an unmixed curse. Much good will come of doing some planning as if it was caused by absolutely
vital factors that mankind is not at liberty to refuse.
